ABOUT
Scope Theatre Festival was established in 2018, with the ambition to provide Toowoomba locals with more opportunity to engage with the unique, original theatre that is flourishing right here in the region. Created by locals for locals, Scope exists to inspire more young and creative people to share their stories and develop their craft from the comfort of their own community.

The original lineup consisted of ten short plays, curated and created entirely by a total of 30 individuals. Learn more about the 2018 original lineup by following this link.

Scope Theatre Festival is focused on bridging the creative gap that exists in more regional areas through the sharing of stories and forming of connections. In 2019 the festival returned again, narrowing our focus for a second season on the young artists aged 15 - 25 based in the region and providing opportunities for open auditions and creative development to continue building artist connections.

In 2019, Scope proved itself to be a now fundamental component of the Toowoomba arts community, and we look forward to growing the festival in years to come.
